FCAFree Carrier
How we sell We prepare the goods at the agreed place and load them onto the vehicle the buyer sends. From that moment the goods are in the buyer’s hands.
- Who pays for haulage
- The buyer — arranges and pays for haulage.
- When risk passes to the buyer
- When the goods are loaded onto the vehicle the buyer sends.
- Do we use it
- This is how we sell everything — pellet, wood chips, PKS and coal. For orders above 1,000 tonnes we can help arrange haulage, agreed case by case.
The seller brings the goods to the named address and places them ready for unloading. Unloading is on the buyer.
- Who pays for haulage
- The seller — the price includes carriage to the destination.
- When risk passes to the buyer
- On arrival at the place, before unloading.
- Do we use it
- Not our standard. Possible only on large contracts agreed individually.
CIFCost, Insurance and Freight
A sea-freight-only rule. The seller pays the freight to the destination port and insures the cargo, but risk passes to the buyer once the goods are loaded on board.
- Who pays for haulage
- The seller — to the destination port, with minimum insurance cover.
- When risk passes to the buyer
- When the goods are loaded on board at the port of shipment, before the voyage starts.
- Do we use it
- This is how we buy sea-freighted cargo ourselves. We do not sell to domestic buyers on these terms.
